Construction postponed

TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. --  One of the gate closures planned for Monday is moving ahead, while another has been delayed nearly a month.

The construction closure planned for the Tinker Gate (1) has been postponed until Feb. 26, however, the Liberator Gate (27) will still close as planned Jan. 25, said officials from the 72nd Air Base Wing Civil Engineer Directorate.

Officials will not move ahead with construction on the Tinker Gate until the project at Vance Gate (40) is complete. The current construction that has closed Vance Gate for several months is scheduled to be completed Feb. 26. The construction delays have been due to weather. Cold temperatures and technical issues have pushed the project back. The Tinker Take Off will continue to publish any further updates.
