The Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center is offering an opportunity for employees to pursue a career in supervision. The Supervisor Development Program is now available for high-potential employees with demonstrated leadership competencies. Self-nominations are currently being accepted, until Dec. 18, through the AFPC Secure Web site.

This 12-month program, beginning in the third quarter of fiscal 2010 will consist of five courses totaling 21.5 days of class work, along with five days of supervisor immersion, consisting of job shadowing and substitution for supervisors. Employees selected to attend the program will be asked to complete all requirements within a 12-month timeframe to be eligible for placement in a first level supervisor position.

Upon completion of the program, participants will transition into a supervisor candidate "pool" from which first level supervisor vacancies will be filled. Continued participation in learning events is required for those employees in the candidate pool.

OC-ALC employees interested in self-nominating for the program can apply at the AFPC Secure Web site, https://w20.afpc.randolph.af.mil/afpcsecurenet20/ CheckPortal.aspx. Information regarding the SDP can be found on the SDP CoP, which can be accessed through the Tinker Home Page.
