The Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center recently announced the final details of the Supervisor Development Program are nearing completion with a planned program kickoff during the first quarter of fiscal 2010.

As part of the air logistics center's second strategic goal, "develop and care for our people to enable success," an integrated process team was formed to create a supervisor development program. The resulting program selects employees based on "self-initiative and demonstrated leadership competencies."

The program prepares participants for future supervisory positions by developing education and experience prior to assuming a supervisory role. This program is designed to promote a more robust first-level supervisor corps through greater emphasis on leadership competencies in the screening and development process.

Information regarding this new program can be found on Tinker's internal home page. Additional updates regarding the program will be posted on plasma screens, computer log-on screen and via organizational correspondence.
