Roadmap laid out for success in ORI Published Oct. 16, 2009 72nd Air Base Wing Plans and Programs TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- The Operations Readiness Inspection is 14 days away and in advance of the Inspector General's visit, the 72nd Air Base Wing Plans and Programs office has a few tips for everyone to remember. This is the fifth in a series of articles to be published leading up to the inspection. Observers: ·There may be several observers from other bases present during our ORI. These individuals will be clearly identified by an observer badge. Show them the same courtesy you would the IG. ·These individuals are here as guests of the base and are not associated with the IG. However, they are free to follow the IG and enter any unrestricted area on base. ·They are here to learn. As such, please answer all of their questions completely and honestly. However, answering their questions should not impact your job performance or the IG inspection. If questions are asked that conflict with your duties or the inspection, tactfully ask them to wait until you are available. Glenwood Training Area Rules: ·For safety reasons, jewelry is not permitted in the Glenwood area, to include wedding or engagement rings. Exceptions: dog tags, watches. ·Smoking is prohibited in the Glenwood area except in the designated smoking areas. ·Glenwood is a no-salute area. ·Entry into Glenwood during Phase II will be limited to authorized players, pre-approved observers and inspector general personnel. All others must be approved by either 72nd Air Base Wing commander, vice commaner or IG. Battle Rhythm: ·The ICC will activate in "warm" status at the appropriate time. The ICC will be manned by the executive officer and administrative support at a minimum. ·The full ICC, in response to IG inputs, will execute accordingly. ·Changeover briefs will be scheduled. ·Specific shift change times are at the commander's discretion.
