Tinker boxers are fired up and ready to take on contenders from the Navy and Fort Sill Army base during the Boxing Smoker at 7 p.m. Aug. 21 at the Gerrity Fitness and Sports Center. Doors open at 6 p.m. and admission is free.

"Overall, this is one of the best put together teams since I've been at Tinker," said coach Lavell Sims. "The combination of boxers with and without experience balances the team."

Those in attendance can see hard-hitting 119-pound Lisandra D'Agostino defend her 2009 Tinker Champion title.

José Robles will also be defending his 2009 Tinker Championship title.

Charlie Floyd will be fighting to regain his 2008 Tinker champion title.

Four-time defending base heavyweight champion Theodore Morse will also be featured in a bout.

Others on the card are Luke Nelson, Daniel Logan and Cameron Johnson.

Come out and cheer for the boxers from Tinker Boxing Club as they take on contenders from the other services.
