Tinker organizing team for upcoming Air Force Marathon Published July 6, 2009 By Jay Anderson Fitness Director TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Team Tinker has started the ball rolling on organizing for participation in the 2009 Air Force Marathon, which will be Sept. 19 at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. On July 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., military and Department of Defense civilian employees interested in signing up as part of the Tinker team in the half or full marathon races are invited to register by stopping in at the Oklahoma Room in Bldg. 3001. Team Tinker Marathon organizers will be there with information and guidance to assist those interested in participating. Last year, more than 50 runners identified themselves as Team Tinker participants. In addition to registration as a member of Team Tinker, topics and information pertaining to transportation, lodging accommodations and the entry process as well as other guidance and answers to specific questions may be obtained at the session. The cut-off date for registration as a member of Team Tinker is July 31.
