Three civilians from the 38th Engineering Installation Group, J. Michael Lehmann, Scott Pippin and Neil Moulin, recently received the Joint Civilian Service Commendation Award. Col. Kurt Klausner, JSOC director of Communications, was on site to preside over the ceremony and present the awards. These gentlemen were recognized for their meritorious achievements as senior communications planners in their recent support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.

Mr. Lehmann supervised and produced custom products that standardized all communications documentation and infrastructure installation projects for the joint task force.

Mr. Pippin planned the increase in the communications presence to support a massive influx of forces into the combat area of operations. He took charge of the joint task force's master plan for installing robust and redundant services to forward operating bases and crafted a plan for moving the main headquarters compound to a new, state of the art facility.

Mr. Moulin supervised and produced products that standardized all communication infrastructure for the task force. His outstanding qualifications, dedication to duty, and competence exemplify the quiet professional. His personal and professional achievements consistently set the standard for excellence.

"These awards recognize the superb work being accomplished in support of the warfighter by the 38th. I'm particularly proud of the contributions to this very important mission made by these three 38th members," said Col. Michael Niezgoda, 38th EIG commander.
