Commander’s Action Line: CDC parking Published June 12, 2009 By 72nd Air Base Wing TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Q: My daughter goes to Child Development Center West. Whenever there are briefings going on at the base theater or sometimes events at the Tinker Club later in the day, people park in the center's parking spots. Is there any way to make the entire parking lot for customers and staff parking only and make sure it's enforced? A: Thank you for your inquiry about additional parking at the west Child Development Center. The 72nd ABW Civil Engineer Directorate has worked with the 72nd Force Support Squadron to investigate and develop a solution for parking and enforcement at the CDC. Currently, the lot is of sufficient size to meet CDC requirements and criteria for CDC patrons and employees only. It is not sized to handle overflow parking from the theater, chapel, or bowling alley area. The 72nd ABW/CE will install "CDC Parking Only" signs at the parking lot entrances to prevent use by others. Enforcement of this action is the responsibility of 72nd FSS parking monitors through the 72nd Security Forces Squadron. Thanks for your help in making Tinker better for everyone.
