Summer Bash brings appreciation week to an end Published June 5, 2009 By Jennifer D'Alessandro 72nd Force Support Squadron Marketing TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- The 72nd Force Support Squadron's Summer Bash, which takes place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Base Picnic Grounds between the Tinker Golf Course and Bldg. 6001, will close out the squadron's annual Customer Appreciation Week. The free event is open to all Tinker personnel and their invited guests. Summer Bash will include live music from Big Daddy Band and Bop Cats, food vendors, free giveaways, kids' games, inflatable rides and a petting zoo. Wristbands and tickets may be purchased at the event for kids' games and inflatable rides. The Annual Sun Run Car and Motorcycle Show will take place in conjunction with Summer Bash. The car show runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Car and motorcycle show participants must enter the base through the Eaker Gate. Registration is from 9 a.m. to noon at the picnic grounds. The entry fee is $25 and all participants receive a free T-shirt and dash plaque. Forty-two classes, including motorcycles, will be judged. First place awards will be given in each class and Commander's Choice Trophy with a $200 cash prize will be awarded. Bikers and passengers must wear helmets, long-sleeved shirts and reflective vests.
