72nd FSS plans Summer Bash Published May 21, 2009 By Jennifer D'Alessandro 72nd Force Support Squadron Marketing TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- The 72nd Force Support Squadron's Summer Bash will be June 6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the base picnic ground, between the Tinker Golf Course and Bldg. 6001. Summer Bash is open to all Tinker personnel and their invited guests. Admission is free. This year's Summer Bash will include live music from Big Daddy Band and Bop Cats, food vendors, free giveaways, kids' games, inflatable rides and a petting zoo. Wristbands and tickets will be available for purchase at the event for kids' games and inflatable rides. The Annual Sun Run Car and Motorcycle Show will also take place in conjunction with Summer Bash. The car show will be from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vehicles and motorcycles from more than 40 classes will be displayed. The event will be judged with awards in each class. The Commander's Choice trophy is awarded with a $200 cash prize. Participants can register from 9 a.m. to noon on June 6. Entry fee is $25 and must enter through Eaker Gate. All bikers and passengers must wear a helmet, long sleeve shirt and a reflective vest. For more information about the Sun Run, call 734-5615.
