Terry named Recruiter of the Year Published May 13, 2009 By Howdy Stout Staff Writer TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla., -- Tech. Sgt. Mark E. Terry, a recruiter with the 349th Recruiting Squadron, received a rare honor last month by becoming the 2008 AETC Recruiter of the Year for the second consecutive year. Based in Manhattan, Kansas, Sergeant Terry won the top award for the second year running in addition to being recruiter of the year for his squadron, also for the second time in two years. In 2007, Sergeant Terry recruited 69 Airmen with 25 accessions, beating his recruitment target by 276 percent. An 18-year veteran, Sergeant Terry has served two years as an enlisted accessions recruiter. "He's one of the guys we'd like to hang on to," said Lt. Col. Javier R. Casanova, commander of the 349th. "He's legendary. We're very proud of him."
