Tinker AFB AFOSI office offers paid college internship

The Air Force Office of Special Investigations is looking for students with a broad range of majors, to include psychology, sociology, criminal justice, political science, computer science, languages, international affairs, law and forensic science, to become a paid intern with the goal of possible employment as a Special Agent after graduation and upon completion of at least 640 hours of work.

Students of any field of study can apply and will perform any and all duties contained in one or all of the following areas: criminal investigative, forensic science, forensic psychology, computer crime investigations or fraud investigations as long as duties are consistent with the student's abilities.

Students may work full or part time work schedules. Work schedules are subject to supervisory approval and should not interfere with the student's academic schedule. internship will be paid. Interns will receive a temporary appointment at the YP-01 grade level, based on education and work experience. Many educational institutions grant academic credit for internship. 

Who may apply:
· A full-time continuing college or university junior, senior, or graduate student in the Fall of 2009.
· A U.S. citizen.
· In good academic standing with an accredited institution and maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
· Capable of receiving and maintaining an interim Top Secret/Collateral Security Clearance.
· Can attend the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center to become a Special Agent upon completion of the internship and prior to the applicant's 37th birthday.
