Wing names Wildcatter award winners Published Jan. 15, 2009 By 72nd Air Base Wing TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okal., -- Hudson George, transient alert aircraft mechanic, 72nd OSS Mr. George provided assistance in the recovery and launch of the presidential C-20 back-up aircraft. He assisted Sheppard and Nellis AFB maintenance recovery teams, saving 26 aircraft-downtime hours. He broadened his skills on with each new aircraft visiting Tinker. He volunteered for overtime to meet critical cargo missions in support of the 552nd ACW and presidential missions. He performed critical operational check on all military weapon systems prior to aircraft launch, ensuring the 72nd OSS six-year aircraft safety record stays intact. Janis Rollings, lead flight technician, 72nd OSS Ms. Rollings has been a lead flight technician since September 1980. During this time, she has constantly interacted with newly-assigned student aircrew members as well as the permanent party flyers stationed at Tinker. The way she communicates with everyone is an excellent example for the rest of the flight. Ms. Rollings' knowledge in the AWACS world makes her the quintessential mentor for all assigned Airmen. She monitors the aviation status of more than 2,200 aircrew members and certifies entitlement of more than $6.5 million in annual flight pay. In addition, she processes physical and physiological forms vital to safety of flight 1st Lt. Michelle A. Gramling, family advocacy officer, 72nd Medical Group Lieutenant Gramling leads 16 family advocacy members in delivering outreach, prevention and treatment for domestic abuse. She led her to team to an "Outstanding" rating by the Health Services Inspection team. Some of her other accomplishments include: Consulting on/managing 465 cases, ensuring quality services delivered to installation. She conducted annual training for leaders on domestic abuse. Lead a team of new parent support nurses who conducted 1,500 home visits. Lieutenant Gramling initiated a "Dads 101" class helping 15 fathers to become skilled in healthy parenting. Gregory L. Ruch, mental health technician, 72nd Medical Group Mr. Ruch is a proven performer, leading prevention and outreach efforts across Tinker. He has been an integral part of suicide prevention training and is often requested by-name to deliver briefings at Commander's Calls. Mr. Ruch's dedication to promoting "The Best Care Anywhere" is evidenced in his accomplishments, which include: Mr. Ruch managed psychological testing for 12 providers, directly impacting patient's treatment plans. He interviewed suicidal patients and helped deflect crisis. He conducted more than 20 stress-management classes with 288 participants. Mr. Ruch educated more than 1,700 Airmen on coping strategies for pre-and-post-deployment stress.
