Longtime bowler William Perrott felt the jubilation and excitement of bowling a perfect game Dec. 3 at the Tinker Bowling Center.

Perrott, who has been perfecting his craft for the past 30 years, rolled the 300 game on lanes seven and eight during week 14 of the highly competitive Commanders Trophy Bowling league.

"It was a big thrill for me and my wife, Susie, who was bowling as well," Perrott said. This was the second 300 game Perrott has bowled and the excitement filled the lanes. "Bill was throwing a great ball all night long," said Christopher Sweet, league president.

During the 2007-08 season there were four 300 games rolled and this latest one should set off an avalanche of big-time scores in the league.

"This shows the level and talent of the bowlers in this league and is definitely great for the sport," said Sweet.

Perrott said skill isn't the only thing involved in bowling a perfect game.

"Bowling a 300 takes a little bit of luck," he said. "Mine was on the 11th strike. The ball was a little high; however, the four-pin carried and the pins went down."
