Mix and Match uniform Published Nov. 20, 2008 By 72nd ABW Tinker Air Force Base TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla., -- Due to limited availability of APECS at Tinker, commanders have been granted limited authority to authorize wear of the BDU Gore-Tex and/or field jacket with ABUs. This allowance should be considered for members who are exposed to inclement weather for long periods where wearing cold weather undergarments will not suffice. Good judgment should be used to make every reasonable effort to minimize the wear of mix and match uniforms, particularly off base.
