Enrollment applications are now being accepted for the Air Force Institute of Technology's (AFIT) Distance Learning programs. The fall semester begins Sep 29. Available programs include a Master's Degree in Systems Engineering, Graduate Certificate Program in Systems Engineering, Graduate Space Systems Certificate Program, Supply Chain Management Certificate Program and Advanced Geospatial Intelligence Certificate Program - all under the AFIT School of Engineering and Management.

"Students can apply credits earned from these certificate programs toward future graduate programs -- either at AFIT or regionally accredited civilian institutions," said Craig Hoon, chief of the Admissions Division.

The tuition for these courses is $344 per credit hour. "Payment can be paid using a DD Form 1556, Request, Authorization, Agreement, Certification of Training and Reimbursement, and a Government Purchase Card, or by a personal check from the student," added Mr. Hoon.

In addition, these programs are covered under the Montgomery GI Bill or federal tuition assistance. The Civilian Tuition Assistance Program (CTAP) can also be applied toward AFIT tuition. CTAP pays $187.50 per credit hour.

To be considered for the distance learning programs, prospective students must submit official transcripts reflecting a bachelor's degree and the AFIT Distance Learning admissions application form at http://www.afit.edu/en/Admissions/Default.cfm?l=DLapps. Those pursuing a master's degree also need to submit their Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores as well.
