Play golf Tinker! Course open to all ID card holders

Summer is here and it is time to get outside and play some golf. Tinker Golf Course has something for everyone, so let's all play golf Tinker! 
   Tinker Golf Course has a golf-pro on staff who instructs the Link Up 2 Golf classes and is available for private lessons as well. Link Up 2 Golf is designed to give new golfers fundamentals to use out on the course. Whether a beginner or one who just wants to improve their game, Link Up 2 Golf is the right course for them. Link Up 2 Golf will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursdays Aug. 12 through Sept. 9. The cost of the program is $99 and includes fundamentals, swing techniques, putting and course etiquette. Space is limited, so call to reserve a spot today. 
   The traditional Independence Day scramble will be held July 4. This is a four-person scramble tournament with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. The four players' handicaps must exceed 41 and only one handicap may be below 10. The cost is $120 per team plus green fees. Entry includes cart and lunch. Entries will be accepted through June 30. 
   Lastly, the Senior Championship tournament will be held July 12-13 and is open to all Tinker eligible golfers age 50 and older. This tournament is flighted by handicap and all players must have a verifiable handicap. The price is $25 per player plus green and cart fees. Gift certificates will be awarded for low gross in each flight and overall net scores. Entries will be accepted through July 8. 
   Tinker Golf Course is working to improve or introduce the game of golf to everyone on base. If you work at Tinker, you can golf here.
