If you enjoy entertaining dinner guests or would like to learn how to cook then the place to be is the Base Chapel.
Rose Garrick, B1 Support Specialist, who also has her Chef's degree has volunteered her culinary skills to those who are interested in either learning how to cook or how to garnish dishes and make them more presentable.
The chapel is sponsoring the classes and Mrs. Garrick will lead the learning process. "I have only planned out the first three sessions because we will be open to suggestion on things to learn as we go along," said Garrick.
The first three classes will include: how to make garnishes to make your dishes and plates attractive, how to make Beef Wellington and how to make Crème Brule.
"The whole point of offering the classes is to teach simple and easy ways to cook great dishes or teach those who do not know how to cook," said Garrick.
The classes will be open to anyone who would like to participate and can get on the base.
Mrs. Garrick also said, "This class will be helpful if you like to host parties or would just like to learn how to cook and serve tasty and attractive meals."
The classes will be held the second Tuesday of every month beginning June 10 in the Base Chapel's kitchen at 6 p.m. Depending on how the dates and times are received, that will determine whether this will be a set meeting day for the classes.
"We are just to offering a service to base members while doing something fun."
