Tops In Blue, drill team to perform at air show: Serveral activities planned for May 24 event at Tinker

The musical event you have been waiting for is about to arrive - Tops in Blue, 2008 celebrates 55 years of entertainment history in one performance May 24 at Tinker's  Star Spangled Salute.
   The performance begins at 7 p.m. on the flight line.  This year's show theme, "Deja Blue" promises to be a musical mixture of fun entertainment for the whole family. The show is free and open to the public!
   In addition to Tops in Blue the United States Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team will also be perform on the flight line during the Star Spangled Salute. 
   The Drill Teams performance showcases a professionally choreographed routine full of show-stopping weapons manuals, precise tosses, and complex weapon exchanges. The AF Drill Team literally touches millions of people each year and has performed in every state of the Union and in many countries abroad over its 40 year plus history.
   The days' events will also include Visual Mpact artist Richard Hight who will create a large multi-medium patriotic drawing to music. Mr. Hight uses his artistic talents to impact the world around him and inspires his audiences.
   Plus a children's area will open at 9 a.m. with carnival-type games and a petting zoo.
Wristband are available for $10 for use with children's games and activities for the entire day, or individual tickets can be purchased for 50 cents each. Wristband sales will end at 8 p.m. and ticket sales end at 8:30 p.m., children's area will close at 9 p.m.
   The Tops In Blue '08 Tour is proud to be sponsored by Ashford University, Coca-Cola and AT&T. Ashford University joins Tops In Blue as a sponsor for the first time in 2008. This is Coca-Cola's fifth year of financial support, while AT&T has sponsored the Tops In Blue program for 17 consecutive years.
