Banks Tinker Public Affairs TINKER AIR FORCE BASE -- The Tinker "boys of summer" are wrapping up their Spring Training in preparation for their season in the in the National Adult Baseball Association (NABA) American Division. The Rangers this year are being coached by returning catcher, Harley Shannon and are looking for great things as they head into the 2008 campaign. "Our team is a lot better rounded than last year. Our pitching staff is a lot deeper and we definitely have more power in the line-up," said Shannon. The Rangers have been practicing for a month, their arms are rounding into form, and the bats are coming alive. "These guys will take the reigns and I honestly believe this team will be successful in 2008," said Steven Escalante, team advisor for the Rangers. The Rangers have played three scrimmages to date compiling a record of 2-1. "It has taken us awhile to gel together as a unit, however, we will have a lot of talent on this years' squad and the sky is the limit for us," said Shannon.
