   Car Seat Statistics
   - Young children restrained in car seats have an 80 percent lower risk of fatal injury than those who are unrestrained.
   - An estimated 1,700 children's lives were saved between 2996 and 2002 solely because they were seated in a back seat.
   - Motor vehicle crashes still remain the number one killer of people ages 4 to 34 and the third leading cause of deah for toddlers ages one to three.
   - Six children are killed every day in the US and 732 children are injured.
   -Annual cost of childhood Motor Vehicle Crashes (MVC) death/injuries exceeds $36 billion.
   - Children ages 4 to 8 who use booster seats are 59 percent less like to be injured in a car crash than children who are restrained only by a seat belt, according to a study by Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
