72nd Air Base Wing members receive Wildcatter Awards

Col. Mark Correll, 72nd Air Base Wing Commander, recently awarded wing members with the Commander's Wildcatter Award. 
   Master Sgt. Sabrina R. Barfield was awarded the Wildcatter Award for her work as the Superintendent in Military Equal Opportunity office. MSgt Barfield wore dual-hats during her Chief's absence, providing top-notched service to largest populace in MAJCOM, over 28K. 
   Some of her accomplishments were overseeing 55 Human Relations (HR) education sessions and 100 hrs of instruction to 786 personnel. She was an Installation Climate Assessment team member; retrieved critical UCA data and provided 41 unit reps bird's eye view of base's HR climate. Updated HR lesson plans with current equal opportunity (EO) data, raising attendees' awareness of trends affecting their environment. MSgt Barfield is a Wingman Day champion providing MEO/EEO information to nearly 1 thousand civilian and military members and solidified helping agency relationship with Tinker employees. She collaborated on creating a Commander Worked Issues checklist; it provided a simple admin tool for reporting EO complaints and ensured 100% data integrity. MSgt Barfield is an accomplished author who wrote self-help/spiritual guidance book-set to publish at year's end! She collected donations for Top 3's bowling tournament and help boost Tinker's enlisted morale programs. She is also a community ambassador, having served Thanksgiving meals to 120 homeless Oklahomans.
    Mary Dostal was awarded the Wildcatter Award for her work as a Safety Specialist Contractor with the Safety Office. Ms. Dostal's accomplishments included being a focal point for injury and illness data review. She reviewed and standardized reports on over 800 mishaps this year, leading to an improved timeliness and accuracy rates by over 60%. She developed clear, concise guidance to assist safety specialists in processing OSHA Form 301 Injury and Illness Incident Reports generated by Occupational Medical Flight (OMF), the entire process is now accomplished electronically. Communicated with OMF as needed for clarification; documentation generated to ensure information is accurate, timely and easy to understand 
   Ms. Dostal also developed and provided training for all safety personnel when new Air Force Safety Automated System (AFSAS) came on line with a 100% reporting capability maintained. During this time, she managed 76 MXW historical mishap data to facilitate tracking and trending of all injuries/illnesses to ensure 100% accurate statistics. Mary is an invaluable safety resource to the entire base, her level of effort and conscientious attention to detail exemplify the AF core values and Wildcatter spirit
