TINKER AIR FORCE BASE -- Cash in on an early-bird special. Groups of 36 players or more that schedule and play a tournament by April 15 receive free lunch before play on tournament day.    The April Fool's Day Tournament is scheduled for April 1 with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. This four-person scramble is $100 per group and includes cart and lunch but does not include green fees. Because the tournament is held on April Fool's Day, golf course officials said the event will be fun as every hole will be tricked up in some way. Putt with a hammer, tee off with a baseball bat and golf with a ball with nails through it, plus many more fun and strange ways to golf. Entries will be accepted through March 28.    The brand new Four Majors Championship will hit the Tinker Golf Course April 12-13. Golfers may now team up with their favorite PGA Touring Pro during the four major championship tournaments. The player matches his or her "net" score with any player in the real PGA tournament for a team score. Play one day or everyday. Simply sign up in the pro shop prior to play. The cost is just $5 per day plus regular cart and green fees. The first tournament -- the Masters -- is April 12-13. Other major tournaments coming up include the U.S. Open June 14-15, the British Open July 19-20 and the PGA Championship Aug. 9-10. For more information, call the Tinker Golf Course at 734-2909.
   The golf course uses the United States Golf Association Ghin handicap system. The system is administered through the Oklahoma Golf Association and accepted throughout the United States. There is a $20 fee per calendar year for this service.
   Golf course patrons can save 20- and 35-percent off daily green fees by purchasing a punch card. Punch cards are available in increments of 20 and 50 golf rounds and can be used by any member of the purchaser's immediate family. The punch cards may be purchased in the pro shop, Bldg. 6601, or by calling 734-2909.
   With the punch card, the rounds are paid for in advance and the savings are big. For example, an Airman E1 through E4 may purchase 20 rounds of golf separately at $255. By purchasing the punch card up front for $172, the Airman will save a total of $83. If the Airman purchased 50 rounds separately it would run $637. By purchasing the punch card for $358 the Airman saves $279. The punch cards may be purchased in the pro shop, Bldg. 6601, or by calling 734-2909.
   Punch cards are a great way to pay now and play later. Advanced green fees are available for unlimited play.
   Advanced green fee cards expire 12 months from the date of purchase. Purchasers of golf course advanced green fees (annual or punch card) will be able to have the total purchase price billed monthly over a 12-month period. The fees may be charged on any Visa or MasterCard.
   In case of deployment or an illness that prevents the purchaser from playing golf, fees may be suspended until which time play can resume. Call the golf course for details.
   The golf course offers a discount senior fee for golfers 62 and older. Retirees pay at their retired grade.
