The initial out-brief findings proved satisfactory.
Following a two-week inspection, an Air Force Materiel Command Logistics Standardization and Evaluations Team out-briefed Maj. Gen. Loren Reno, Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center commander, Feb. 8 on their findings. The center and four wings - the 76th Maintenance Wing, 72nd Air Base Wing, 327th Aircraft Sustainment Wing and 448th Combat Sustainment Wing - received "satisfactory" ratings.
"We scored 'satisfactory' in a very rigorous, thorough inspection," said General Reno. "I have complete confidence that we are operating safely and according to prescribed directives.
"We do have some areas that we can improve, and we will, but I am very proud of our outstanding performers, our outstanding teams and those few units that earned a coveted 'excellent' (rating)."
The official report is expected to be completed Feb. 22, approximately two weeks after the inspection ended. This report will detail the results, and will be provided to the AFMC Commander Gen. Bruce Carlson, said Col. Peter Robichaux, LSET chief from AFMC Headquarters at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
LSET inspectors examined maintenance, logistics and supply chain management performance, policies and procedures at the OC-ALC and within the four wings Jan. 28 to Feb. 8.
"LSET Inspections are thorough and rigorous, going beyond checklists to assess compliance," said Colonel Robichaux. "We spend a lot of time in work centers, observing employees performing maintenance and day-to-day operations.
"Here at the OC-ALC, we were impressed by the focus on doing the work safely and using (personal protective equipment)," Colonel Robichaux said. "We know a lot of hard work was dedicated to preparing for this inspection, but could tell that employees observed safety principles naturally, not just because we were watching."
