TINKER LIBRARY Published Feb. 19, 2008 TINKER AIR FORCE BASE -- The Tinker Library will be closed Monday for President's Day. Is there a book you want to read or need as a resource for a project, but the base library does not have copy? The staff can try to borrow the book from another library in state, on a different base or across the country. Stop by the library to fill out a request form to begin the process. Patrons should provide at least the author and the title of the book they need. Borrowed books generally take seven to 10 days to arrive at the Tinker Library. Patrons will be notified when the book arrives at the library. On the shelf: The library has a wide selection of books, audiocassettes, CDs and DVDs. Patrons may checkout a total of three DVDs or VHS movies for seven days. Ten audiovisual materials, including CDs, books on CD, audiocassettes and non-fiction VHS tapes, may be checked out for three weeks. Bode "Standard Hero Behavior" by John David Anderson "Thirteen Reasons Why" by Jay Asher "The Time Thief" by Linda Buckley-Archer The Tinker Library catalog is available online at www.tinkerservices.com. Once you have entered onto the Services site, click on the library's page. From there, click the highlighted URL address to look up everything from books, books on tape and CD, music and DVDs. The library opens weekdays at 8 a.m. and closes at 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 5 p.m. on Fridays. Weekend hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays.
