Parents, bring your children to story time at the Tinker Library. Story time is held at 10 a.m. Tuesdays and 4 p.m. Thursdays. Attendees at the pre-school story time Tuesday will make Valentines craft projects. The theme for Thursday's story time is "I Love Reading."
The library staff loves to have guest readers for story time. To volunteer to read or assist the staff with a special story time, call at 734-2626.
On the shelf: The library has a wide selection of books, audiocassettes, CDs and DVDs. Patrons may checkout a total of three DVDs or VHS movies for seven days.
Ten audiovisual materials, including CDs, books on CD, audiocassettes and non-fiction VHS tapes, may be checked out for three weeks.
   New adult books include:
"Beverly Hills Dead" by Stuart Woods
"Now You Die" by Christine Heggan
   "Paper Doll" by Robert Parker
   "Perfect Sax" by Jerrilyn Farmer
"When God Writes Your Love Story" by Eric and Leslie Ludy
The Tinker Library catalog is available online at www.tinkerservices.com. Once you have entered onto the Services site, click on the library's page. From there, click the highlighted URL address to look up everything from books, books on tape and CD, music and DVDs.
Library patrons are invited to make request for their favorite book, CDs and DVDs. The library staff needs as much information as possible on the item such as title, author and ISBN number.
Those out-processing are reminded to stop by the library to make sure they have turned in all of the library's items.
The library opens weekdays at 8 a.m. and closes at 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 5 p.m. on Fridays. Weekend hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays.
