EQUIPMENT CHECKOUT

TINKER AIR FORCE BASE -- Equipment Checkout is open to all active duty, retired military and their dependents, reservists, Guardsmen and Department of Defense employees. The office is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
   The office is located in the Services Mall, Bldg. 478, southeast of Burger King. They offer a variety of rental items and services that are available to all base ID card holders. Members of the Tinker Club receive a 10 percent discount on rentals by showing their current Members First Plus! card at the time payment is due.
   Because Equipment Checkout is closed on weekends and holidays, they run a weekend special on most items. In February, rent a lawn vacuum for $18 when returning it the same day, $36 for overnight or $72 for the weekend. Members First Plus! customers receive an additional 10 percent off the monthly special.
   Equipment Checkout has a variety of items available to help make outdoor chores easier. Some items available include chain saws, 12- and 14-foot limb loppers, 10-foot extension gas pruner, lawn vacuums, detachers, edgers, vacuum/blowers, lawn mowers, rakes, spreaders, rollers, sod cutters and more.
   Stop by the Tinker Services Mall, Bldg 478, and checkout out home improvement items for rent such as moving dollies and flat bed utility trailers, sporting equipment for picnics, camping gear and fishing equipment and picnic/party items.
   Items can be rented anytime Friday and must be returned no later than 11:30 a.m. the following Monday for only one a half day rental fee. All other rentals must be returned no later than 4:30 p.m. on the return due date.
   Payments for rentals are done at the time they are picked up. Cash, check, money-order, MasterCard or Visa are accepted for payment. Equipment Checkout does not accept Discover or American Express.
