   Tinker Opportunity for Professional Services
The Air Force Personnel Center at Randolph Air Force Base, Texas, has announced another opportunity for current Tinker Air Force Base employees to self-nominate for the Tinker Opportunity for Professional Services competitive announcement open until Feb. 7.
The TOPS program presents current employees a developmental opportunity to transition into specific general schedule series based on their education, experience and performance. Management has identified three TOPS series: Equipment Specialist (GS-1670), Quality Assurance Specialist (GS-1910), and Management and Program Analyst (GS-343). A formalized training plan has been developed for each series with an entry level of GS-5 and a target grade of GS-11. The goal of TOPS is to competitively move employees into positions that maximize their education and experience. A 90-day standing register is used to refer candidates for consideration. Employees who wish to participate in the TOPS program must self-nominate for each series they are interested in each time the announcement is open. Self-nomination is accomplished through the AFPC Web site at www.afpc.randolph.af.mil/resweb/ or through the Interactive Voice Response System at 1-800-616-3775. Employees are encouraged to review their career brief and their Official Personnel File to ensure their education level is correct and the OPF contains a copy of their official transcript. For assistance, Maintenance employees can contact the staffing specialist for their organization at 739-2660. All other employees can reach their staffing specialist at 739-3803.
