TINKER AIR FORCE BASE --  Everyone needs to know about two excellent and "100 percent free" resources on Tinker AFB. Both are just a mouse click or telephone call away. 
   The Employee Assistance Program is a free 24 hour resource offering DoD civilian employees countless benefits. To name just a few, free individual, family and marital counseling are all available through the EAP resource. Their web page is located at www.FOH4you.com and the phone number is 1-800-222-0364. You can receive up to six sessions of free counseling and can utilize your fitness hours to seek this help. 
   EAP is much more than just a counseling resource. At that same website, there is a library of key info, which includes thousands of articles on a wide range of behavioral health, wellness and life management topics. Looking for licensed child care for your children or an adult day care for your elderly parent? Need information about time management or preparing for a flood? It's all there on the EAP web site. This is also a great site for supervisors to learn tips on motivating employees, managing change or dealing with difficult employees. You can access legal services, including a 30 minute free consultation with an attorney. The EAP website also offers online tools for in calculating home refinancing costs or preparing for retirement. In essence, it's an entire reference library at your fingertips.
   Although the Employee Assistance program is designed for civilian employees, the military community is not left out. For our military members and their families, Military OneSource is a huge smorgasbord of information ranging from adoption assistance to vacation planning. There are answers to almost any question you might have: no question too small - no issue too big. Military OneSource can also refer a military member to local counseling providers where he/she can also receive up to six sessions of free counseling - marital, family or individual. Their phone number is 1-800-342-9647 and is answered 24 hours a day. The web site is www.militaryonesource.com and features timely articles and news.
