The following are actual accounts of crimes recently committed by members of Team Tinker.
   The Tinker Take Off will regularly publish "Crime doesn't pay: to inform readers of criminall acts to be alert for and to deter and prevent further criminal behavior from taking place on base.
    Serious Government Travel Card Misuse
   A senior airman used his government travel card to purchase sexual services from a female entertainer while on temporary duty in Las Vegas. He received a reduction to airman first class, suspended forfeiture of $864 pay per month for two months and 60 days restriction to Tinker Air Force Base for misusing his government travel card, committing sodomy and indecent acts. 
   Seriously! Government Travel Card Misuse
   An airman first class used his government travel card to purchase sexual services from a female entertainer while temporary duty in Las Vegas. He received a reduction to airman, suspended forfeiture of $729 pay per month for two months and 60 days restriction to Tinker Air Force Base for misusing his government travel card, committing sodomy and indecent acts.
   Always Maintain Bearing
   A staff sergeant  was having an adulterous affair with a potential Air Force recruit. During an OSI investigation, it became apparent that the sergeant  had asked the civilian to lie when questioned about the affair. It also came to light during a witness interview that the sergeant had exposed himself to the civilian's roommate. The staff sergeant  received a reduction to senior airman and forfeiture of $350 pay per month for two months for committing adultery, indecent exposure, obstructing justice and failing to maintain a professional relationship with a recruit. The senior airman is now being processed for administrative discharge.
   Her Prescription, Not Yours
   A staff sergeant  was felt irritable after returning from a deployment; his wife suggested he take one of her prescription Valium to help calm down. The sergeant met with his doctor, who felt the sergeant was acting out of character so he ordered lab tests, to include a urinalysis. He tested positive for benzodiazepines, a schedule IV controlled substance. The staff sergeant received a suspended reduction to senior airman and a reprimand for wrongful use of Valium. The staff sergeant is being processed for administrative discharge.
   No Overnight Guests in Dormitories
   A female civilian was caught staying overnight with an airman first class in his dormitory room when Security Forces responded to a report of a physical altercation. The airman first class received a suspended reduction to airman basic, 15 days extra duty and a reprimand for assault and failure to obey a lawful order.
   Thrifty Fingers
   An airman basic took a compact disc  from a shelf of the magazine rack at the base exchange; he finished shopping and went to the cashier. As he grabbed for his wallet, he put the CD in his personal bag without paying for it. The airman basic received forfeiture of seven days pay, four days suspended, for stealing a CD from the BX.
   Lost the Directions?
   A technical sergeant signed out of his unit for a TDY to the Noncommissioned Officer Academy in Alabama. Co-workers tried contacting the Tsergeant on his cell phone to see how he was doing at the academy, but were unable to reach him and became worried. Officials at the school reported the sergeant had not reported to the NCOA. It was confirmed that the sergeant was at his home and had not reported to the NCOA. The technical sergeant received a reduction to staff sergeant and a reprimand for being absent without leave.
