Community Events Published Jan. 17, 2008 TINKER AIR FORCE BASE -- American Society of Military Comptrollers The American Society of Military Comptrollers will hold a luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, 23 January, in the Tinker Club Ballroom. Barbara Pritchard, the senior stakeholder liaison with the Communications Liaison and Disclosure, a new division of the IRS, will be speaking on "2007 IRS Tax Updates and Much More." The price is $10 for ASMC members and $15 for non-members. Welcome reception for command chief A Welcome Reception for the new 72nd Air Base Wing Command Chief, Chief Master Sergeant Eric A. Networking Event, Ice Cream Social First annual Financial Community Networking Event and Ice Cream Social, sponsored by the American Society of Military Comptrollers, takes place from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the Tinker Chapel Fellowship Hall, Bldg. 5701. The event is free to both members and non-members and door prizes will be given. Nonappropriated Funds sale The 72nd Services Squadron has scheduled a cash and carry sale of excess property from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 25 at Bldg. 478. The doors on the west side of the building will be open at 10 a.m. Sale items include furniture, beds, couches, armoires, end tables, tables and chairs. POW/MIA Memorial Committee The Tinker AFB POW/MIA Memorial Committee is a non-profit organization committed to honoring America's sons and daughters (from all wars) who were Prisoners of War and those who are currently listed as Missing in Action. The objective of the Tinker POW/MIA committee is to raise awareness of POW/MIA issues and also to respectfully maintain the base POW/MIA Memorial. All personnel who have access to Tinker Air Force Base are eligible for membership. There are no dues or fees required or collected at anytime.
