   Fitlinxx, Fit 4 Life procedures
Tinker fitness officials have noticed the need for clarification concerning how to get themselves into Fitlinxx and the "Fit 4 Life" fitness program and begin exercising to improve their health, fitness and overall wellness.
According to Ben Gibson, fitness center director, the process is not complicated, but some questions probably need to be addressed so everyone is on the same page.
To register into the Fitlinxx tracking system so workouts can be documented: Fitlinxx registration is part of the step-by-step process of the Fit 4 Life program, but people need not be in Fit 4 Life to be registered in Fitlinxx. Those wishing to be registered into Fitlinxx only should start at Step 4 on the Fit 4 Life Web site, https://wwwmil.tinker .af.mil/Fit4Life/.
The Civilian Fitness Leader designated for your organization will register you into Fitlinxx based upon the Fitlinxx form you complete and send to them. The Fitlinxx system provides automatic tracking of workouts when using the Fitlinxx accessible fitness facilities and can also be accessed to record manual logs of workouts performed away from the facilities. Once registered, you will have access to Fitlinxx Web site -- www.fitlinxx.com -- which allows you to log in workouts from your own computer.
To register into the Fit 4 Life program: To register as an authorized civilian employee and receive up to three hours per week on-duty time to take part in fitness development activities, register into the program from a computer using the Tinker home page to get started. At the Tinker home page simply click the "Wellness Campaign," then click the "Fit 4 Life" icon and then "registration." A step-by-step process will provide all necessary information for registration and participation in the program.
The Bldg. 3705 Fitness Center is the designated "home site" for the civilian Fit 4 Life program and Fitlinxx registration: When registered by a fitness leader, you will be designated as a "shared member" in the Fitlinxx system.
If you wish to use another base facility and have access to that facility's Fitlinxx system, you will need to contact a staff member where you want to exercise and have them load a workout identifying the machines specific to that facility. You can do this in person or by calling the facility you want to use.
If you need assistance in starting an exercise program: Contact your designated civilian fitness leader.
Additionally, the Bldg. 3705 Fitness Center offers Tuesday and Thursday classes at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. by appointment to provide instruction in how to become acquainted with the equipment and the Fitlinxx system. Call the Bldg. 3705 Fitness Center at 734-4664 for more details.
