Volunteers sought to transfer to DLA Published Nov. 8, 2007 By Personnel Management and Requirements Branch TINKER AIR FORCE BASE -- In compliance with the Base Realignment and Closure, the Air Force is transferring existing Supply, Storage and Distribution functions from the present competitive area to a new Defense Logistics Agency competitive area. Tinker Air Force Base employees can volunteer for transfer to DLA if they currently occupy, or have occupied in the past, one of the following positions: Supply Specialist, GS-2001-11/12; Supply Systems Analyst, GS-2003-11/12; Inventory Management Specialist, GS-2010-9/11; Supply Technician, GS-2005-7; Materials Expediter, WG-6910-7; or Forklift Operator, WG-5704-5. If you would like to volunteer for transfer, your position may be used to place someone who would otherwise go to DLA via a mandatory transfer. Volunteers will be solicited next week. Volunteering does not guarantee that you will be selected for transfer. Volunteers will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis for qualifications and must be approved by DLA and Service Computation Date will be used as a tie breaker if necessary.
