Wing names employees of the quarter

The 327th Aircraft Sustainment Wing recently announced their Employees of the Quarter for the third quarter of 2007.
   The winners include:
   GS-5-7 Category: Dedicated, determined and driven describe Damaris Brandt with the 827th Aircraft Sustainment Group. She managed numerous special programs crucial to the support of 150-plus program office team members. She also implemented the Web-based Defense Travel System into program office operations and led the group's 5S+1 process improvement event.
   GS-8-11 Category: Tony Ruble with the 747th Aircraft Sustainment Group led a nine-member E-3 scheduling process team responsible for scheduling a $78 million depot maintenance program.
   He also negotiated the realignment of resources after a $13 million reduction in fiscal 2007 programmed depot maintenance funding and he led the effort to accelerate a $153 million demand assigned multiple access global air traffic management program.
   GS-12-15 Category: Kenneth Wood with the 827th ASG is the KC-135 weapon system logistics support champion. His efforts increased the KC-135 aircraft available in support of contingency operations.
   He drove a 19 percent reduction in not mission capable aircraft and provided 2.3 additional aircraft to the warfighter since fiscal 2006.
   Administrative/Clerical Category: Stephanie Lambert with the 727th Aircraft Sustainment Group assisted 547th Aircraft Sustainment Squadron personnel with 20-plus extended continental U.S. and outside continental U.S. schedules and documents.
   She also volunteered to take on additional workload responsibilities for many administrative duties.
   Staff/Action Officer Category: Pam Axton with the 327th Aircraft Sustainment Wing Operations Management Office streamlined the briefing preparation process for the wing commander, staff offices, groups and squadrons. She facilitates, organizes and schedules pre-briefs for program management reviews.
   She also spearheaded the new 327th ASW staff meeting process.
   Company Grade Officer Category: Capt. Carl Huxley with the 727th Aircraft Sustainment Group led the KC-10 program in U.S. Title 10, 50/50 Secretary of the Air Force compliance. He planned and executed all facets of a Contractor Logistics Support KC-10 strip and paint operations to the organic depot.
   He also brokered the first Defense Department facility to become FAA certified, allowing commercial work to now be performed and leading to tremendous savings.
   Team Category: The E-3 Mid East Support Section Team of Bryan Thayer, Jill Douglas, Dave Haener and Dana Hall spearheaded the repair of a $300 million Royal Saudi Air Force E-3A aircraft.
   The team discovered and fixed a Royal Saudi Air Force E-3 safety issue similar to a TWA Flight 800 related issue where 230 people died. They requested an Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center diagnosis and through their efforts found eight unsafe wiring harnesses and 24 defective circuit breakers.
   The effort required 623 additional unprogrammed repair hours and led to a successful operation check flight.
