Join any Air Force Club between Oct 1 and Dec. 31 and automatically receive six-months free dues.
As a bonus, 100 new members will be randomly selected to receive six additional months of free dues by registering via an online survey at www.afclubs.net.
"We want to give everyone the chance to become a club member and our 'Start from Scratch' club membership campaign gives them the opportunity to try their club free for the first six months," said Fred McKenney, chief of Air Force Clubs.
During the 2007 club membership campaign, everyone interested in Air Force Club membership should look for the "Big Six" in their local club and other Services activities, said Mr. McKenney.
"Pick up an application, fill it out and instantly win $5, $10, $25 or $100," he said. "Everyone is a winner!"
Locally, Tinker Club has added a few more incentives. Squadrons with 125 active duty members who achieve 50 percent membership status receive a quarterly function at the club with free room and $300 in catering credit. Sign up for the annual dues plan and receive free lunch for an entire month of your choice.
The membership card provides numerous benefits. The Military Free Cash rewards program is an outstanding benefit to members. When you use your club membership card in any on-base Services activity you earn 2 percent cash back on every eligible purchase including Army and Air Force Exchange Service (except gas which is 1 percent) and Commissary.
Additionally, you earn 1 percent cash back on eligible purchases everywhere else including all off base purchases. The card also offers a 0 percent introductory rate for six-months on all purchases and balance transfers.
When using the club card at the Tinker Bowling Center, Tinker Golf Course, Arts and Crafts Center, Auto Hobby Shop and Equipment Checkout, the member saves 10 percent. Members also receive 10 percent off season swimming pool passes.
The club card is a wonderful way to help the Tinker community. How you might ask? Each time any credit card is used, the facility who accepts the card pays a percentage to the credit card company for the service. When using the club card at Services facilities, those fees are waived. Last year Services paid out $36,906 in credit card fees alone! By using a club card, that money can be put to better use by way of community programs, and facility and equipment upgrades.
All Air Force Clubs have systems in place that allow for direct or in-direct customer input on entertainment, activities and food and beverage offerings. The feedback system may include web surveys, comment cards, council meetings and corporate research designed to provide information that determines if members are receiving the product they want at a price they can afford and with the best service available.
The Tinker Club looks forward to serving you and your family.
