Family, Teen Talent Contest coming up Published Sept. 7, 2007 By Becky Pillifant Services Marketing TINKER AIR FORCE BASE -- Does your family like to perform on stage? The Tinker Youth Center is looking for talented dads, moms, brothers and sisters to perform in the 2007 Family and Teen Talent Contest at 7 p.m. Sept. 22 the base theater. Entertainers can sign up for the contest before the Sept. 15 deadline at the Tinker Youth Center or call 734-7866 details. Rehearsals will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 18 and 20 at the base theater. The talent contest is free and open to all active-duty, civilian ID card holders, retired military members, reservists and their families. Categories include parent and youth team, husband and wife team, children 3 through 12 years and teen 13 to 18 years. The 18-year-old age limit is waived for teens still in high school or those who graduated in 2007. Youth entries may perform as a solo or group act. First-place winners of each category may be invited to perform with the Tops in Blue when the team visits Tinker. Videotapes of Tinker's winners will be forwarded to Air Force-level competition.
