72nd Medical Operations Squadron holds change of command

Lt. Col. Jill R. Scheckel assumed command of the 72nd Medical Operations Squadron from Lt. Col. Robin Squellati on July 20.
   Col. Scheckel comes to Tinker from the Air Combat Command surgeon's office where she was the Behavioral Health Consultant. As a consultant, she led more than 300 people across 16 Air Force bases. Col. Scheckel will now command a 150 people in various medical specialties from Family Practice to Internal Medicine.
   Col. Scheckel entered the Air Force in 1995 and she holds a Doctorate of Philosophy in counseling psychology from Ball State University in Indiana.
   Col. Squellati is serving as the 72nd Medical Group Deputy commander. She is now a colonel-select and is expected to promote to colonel in the near future.
