Lewis Haddock of the 553rd Combat Sustainment Squadron was chosen as the inaugural Team Tinker Safety Hero.
His input on crosswalk dangers at the north of Bldg. 3001 led to a safety investigation and the purchase of new push-button crosswalk warning lights. Civil Engineering recently ordered the new equipment and the new light system should be installed at the affected crosswalks in the September to October timeframe.
Mr. Haddock saw an issue that affected hundreds of employees' everyday highlighted the problem to leadership and the results will improve working conditions here at Tinker.
Congratulations and thanks again to Mr. Haddock for going out of his way to improve safety at Tinker.
