Walker named new director af DISA Oklahoma City

Rodney Walker is the new Director of Defense Information Systems Agency Defense Enterprise Computing Center Oklahoma City, effective June 3.
   Mr. Walker served as Deputy Director of DISA Oklahoma City since August 2003.
   Previous assignments include Deputy Director of the Oklahoma City Software Development Activity, Materiel Systems Group Operating Location beginning in November 1993.
   After transferring to DISA in October 1997, he was chief of three different divisions of technical staff including Integration/Development, Computer Operations, and Technical Support prior to his appointment as Deputy Director.
   Mr. Walker received his bachelor of science degree in mathematics from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He holds a Department of Defense Acquisition Professional Certification in Computer Systems and Program Management and was a member of the DOD Acquisition Corps.
   Mr. Walker received the Oklahoma Federal Executive Board Supervisor of the Year Award in 2005 and the Team Tinker Wiley Post Civilian Leadership Award in the Supervisory/Manager category in 2004.
   He has served as a volunteer on the Supervisory Committee of the Tinker Federal Credit Union for 17 years. Other memberships include Team Tinker, the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, Tinker Management Association, and various volunteer committees within the Tinker Federal Credit Union.
   DISA DECC Oklahoma City is a DOD computer center, providing information services to the warfighter and combat support units around the world.
   Mr. Walker succeeds Rudy Vines who retired June 2.
