Tinker Air Show organizers are looking for volunteers to staff concession stands, providing a fundraising opportunity for their favorite cause while at the same time helping air show guests get the refreshments they want during their visit.

San Francisco Puff-n-Stuff, the air show’s master concessionaire, operates a program allowing on-base private organizations as well as groups in the local civilian community to work the air show’s concession operations in exchange for a share of the revenue generated during the two-day event.

“The Tinker Air Show relies on the work of hundreds of volunteers to operate,” said Tom Cox, 72nd Force Support Squadron director. “Volunteering to help with the concession operations provides a great opportunity for non-profits in the community to bring in revenue while at the same time helping to provide a great air show experience for thousands of fellow Oklahomans.”

The amount paid is based upon the number of people who work, in addition to how many hours are worked each day. Organizations will receive 10% of sales revenue minus sales tax. Those working for the novelty or other portions of the master concessionaire’s operations will earn $12 per hour. The Tinker Air Show will be held June 28-29, 2025, with hours of operation expected to be 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

All payments are mailed to the organizations from the master concessionaire after the air show concludes.

Volunteers looking to work in food booths will be required to take a food handler training class, provided free of charge. A final preparatory meeting with the air show organizers and master concessionaire will be held June 26 to go over details.

Off base organizations looking to volunteer will need to submit an entry authorization list of their volunteers, agreeing to a background check prior to being allowed on base. This information includes full name, date of birth, driver’s license number and state of issuance, as well as Social Security Number.

The Tinker Air Show is the largest air show in the state of Oklahoma and attracts thousands from across the region and nation. The U.S. Air Force’s Thunderbirds are headlining this year’s show, in addition to numerous military and civilian air acts and displays. The theme is “Warriors of Air and Space,” highlighting the warrior ethos, hard work, and contributions of the military and civilian members of Tinker AFB.
