The 72nd Security Forces Squadron will be hosting a sequence of events May 12 – 15 to honor and celebrate  law enforcement officers.

The annual observance dates to 1962 when President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation designating May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week.

National Police week honors all who gave the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty to protect their country. Law enforcement members are sworn to protect and serve. As a part of that, the 72nd Security Forces Squadron would like to invite the Tinker community to participate in events throughout the week to give thanks to current officers and honor fallen members of the local force.
