Fourteen Airmen graduated from Airman Leadership School during a graduation ceremony held at the Tinker Air Force Base Event Center, July 17, 2025.

ALS is a six-week professional development course designed to prepare new staff sergeants and senior airmen for positions of greater responsibility by strengthening their ability to lead, follow, and manage junior airmen as first line supervisors.

Tinker Air Force Base is home to one of 69 ALS schools globally that prepare Airmen to be adaptable leaders in complex and ever-changing environments.

Airman leadership school is the first of three in-residence courses required for enlisted Airmen and a requirement for promotion to staff sergeant. The other in-residence courses are the Noncommissioned Officer Academy and the Senior Noncommissioned Officer Academy, which are prerequisites for promotion to master sergeant and senior master sergeant, respectively.
