TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Lt. Gen. Linda S. Hurry, Air Force Materiel Command interim commander, and Chief Sgt. James “Bill” E. Fitch II, AFMC command chief, visited Tinker Air Force Base Aug. 4-5, 2025.
She received mission updates from Air Force Sustainment Center and Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex leadership and served as the keynote speaker for Tinker and the Primes 2025.
Hurry and Fitch also took time to visit with Airmen, visiting Airmen from around Tinker AFB for a question & answer session in the Vanwey Dining Facility. AFMC leadership contextualized issues that Airmen face at the ground level while providing insight into the future of the Air Force.
AFMC leadership encouraged everyone in attendance to place Airmen at the “center of the bull’s-eye” in their approach to leadership and problem solving. Hurry expressed that the lives of our Airmen have immeasurable value and that all Airmen should strive to highlight the value of their wingmen, regardless of branch or military status.
