Effective immediately, the 72nd Air Base Wing has suspended the Trusted Traveler program for Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, at the discretion of the installation commander.

This change in policy alters the process for anyone without base access seeking to enter the installation and requires them to have a valid visitor pass and sponsor.

Sponsors are required to contact or visit the 72nd Security Forces Squadron Visitor Control Center (VCC) to initiate the process. The VCC is open Monday-Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and can be reached phone at (405) 734-5191 or by email at 72SFS.S5P.PASSANDID@us.af.mil.

For in-person pass requests, both the sponsor and the visitor must be present at the VCC. Visitors must provide valid, REAL ID-compliant identification, such as a state-issued driver's license, passport, or a Social Security card with a photo. Vehicle registration may be required if the visitor intends to drive on base.

Individuals needing long-term or recurring access for work, school, or other official business should contact the 72nd SFS Visitor Control Center during regular business hours. This office facilitates the issuance of a defense biometric identification system (DBIDS) card for eligible non-military personnel.

Those who do not qualify for a DBIDS card may be placed on an entry authorization list (EAL). EALs are typically used for groups of seven or more attending special events and require a lead time of seven to 10 business days, depending on the number of individuals.

The 72nd SFS Visitor Control Center can be reached by calling (405) 734-5191 or by email 72SFS.S5P.PASSANDID@us.af.mil.

All individuals seeking access will undergo a mandatory criminal background check. Access may be denied to individuals with a history of felonies, outstanding warrants, or significant criminal activity. Exceptions for special events will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Contact the 72nd Security Forces Pass and ID Office at (405) 734-5191 or email 72SFS.S5P.PASSANDID@us.af.mil for more information.
