Whether you are transitioning out of the military and want to put down roots in the Antelope Valley, a military spouse seeking a new role or a local resident looking to kick-start a federal career, your next opportunity awaits.

Even if you are already employed at Edwards Air Force Base and want to explore new career paths, the Fall 2026 Hiring Fair is the place to be. Hosted by the 412th Force Support Squadron on Thursday, Sept. 17, this event will bring together more than 40 government and private-sector organizations ready to hire.

Edwards Air Force Base will host the Fall 2026 Hiring Fair on Thursday, Sept. 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Military and Family Readiness Center, 900 Farrell Drive, Building 5620. Attendees without base access must register in advance to enter the installation. (U.S. Air Force graphic)

Skip the online application black hole. Get face-to-face time with hiring managers, discover organizational cultures firsthand and connect with fellow professionals. You might even walk out with a job offer on the spot.

“Dress for success, bring plenty of copies of your resume and come ready to connect,” Olga Duran, Work and Life consultant at the Military Family and Readiness, said. “A new career could be waiting for you.”

A wide array of units from the 412th Test Wing will be actively recruiting at the fair. Job seekers can meet with representatives from the Child and Youth Program, the Child Development Center, the Civilian Personnel Office, the Non-Appropriated Fund Human Resources Office, the 412th Electronic Warfare Group, the 412th Maintenance Group, the 412th Test Engineering Group, and the 412th Test Wing Recruitment Program Manager.

Other public-sector and law enforcement agencies will also be on-site looking for talent. Confirmed public organizations include the Antelope Valley High School District, Antelope Valley Medical Center, Border Patrol, Department of State Hospitals, Employment Development Department, FBI, Kern County, Los Angeles County, Los Angeles Police Department, Muroc Joint Unified School District, NASA, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, United States Postal Service, U.S. Secret Service, and the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.

For those interested in the private sector and defense contracting, major industry leaders are scheduled to attend.
