The 72nd Air Base Wing Communications Directorate's Information Technology Equipment Custodian, "ITEC Spotlight," for January 2016 honors Wesley Tison and Andrew Owings of the 548th Propulsion Maintenance Squadron.

Mr. Tison is the primary ITEC and Mr. Owings is the alternate ITEC for an IT Asset Management account of 21 assets valued at almost $20,000.

Mr. Tison, supervisor of the 548th PMXS/76th PMXG Heat Treat and the Paint Shop, has worked his entire 16-year tenure at Tinker in the Heat Treat shop and took on the additional duty of supervising the Paint Shop four years ago.

Mr. Owings has worked at Tinker for almost six years and is currently a Heat Treater for the 548th. He also works temporary assignments in numerous areas of the shop such as the Blast, Water Jet and Plasma Spray areas.

Both men agree the key to the successful maintenance of their ITAM account is retaining tight accountability of the assets despite Mr. Owings' frequent temporary assignments and Mr. Tison's additional supervisory responsibilities.

The practice they found most helpful is to keep a log of the location of every asset within their shop. They make time every week to log in any new assets they received or note any assets that were transferred out of their area.
