VPP Star status -- the highest VPP award -- involves years of OSHA monitoring and inspections after a workplace's management and unions commit to achieve major decreases in safety mishaps paired with steady increases in production. The OC-ALC is the first Air Force depot to boast four Star organizations. The Air Force has 17 Star organizations overall. The 76th Software Maintenance Group earned Star status in 2012 and 2015.
