Hawks fall in Joe Hall Published Dec. 11, 2015 By John Parker Staff writer TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- The varsity Tinker Hawks got knocked out early in the Joe Hall basketball tournament at Joint Base San Antonio last weekend. The Hawks got off to a good start Saturday, beating Fort Carson 89-76. Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland turned around the team's fortunes in the afternoon game, though, bumping them to the losers bracket 86-69. The Hawks faced Fort Sill on Saturday night, but fell to the Army squad 75-72 in the double elimination tournament. Air Force Prep seized the trophy Sunday, defeating Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam. The Hawks play next at Fort Sill near Lawton, with games scheduled Dec. 19 and 20. Teams will include Fort Sill, McConnell AFB (Kan.) and Fort Riley (Kan.).
