Col. Stephanie Wilson, 72nd Air Base Wing commander, recently honored the 72nd ABW Communications Directorate Records Relocation Team with a Wildcatter Award.

The team quickly responded to the 72nd ABW/SC Directorate tasking to relocate the Records Management Storage Area in Bldg. 3. During this mighty effort, the team maintained the Records Staging Area of official records consisting of 7,500 boxes for Tinker AFB. They ensured full compliance of official records in accordance with Air Force Instruction 33-322 until destruction.

This team upheld all Air Force and National Archives & Records Administration standards to ensure proper safeguards and accountability of records.  They accomplished the move of Records Management Storage Area and transported 7,500 official records and records storage furniture from Bldg. 3 to Bldg. 469. All the while the team maintained accountability and safeguard of official records while relocating and met AFI 33-322 security requirements.

The 72nd ABW/SC footprint was reduced by relocating the records storage to the new facility so the old storage facility could be released back to the 72nd ABW Civil Engineering Directorate.
