The 72nd Air Base Wing Communications Directorate's Information Technology Equipment Custodian, "ITEC Spotlight," for August honors Brett Neeley of the 72nd Logistics Readiness Squadron.

Mr. Neeley is the Primary ITEC for an IT Asset Management account of 71 assets valued at almost $58,000.

As a traffic management specialist assigned to 72nd LRS/LGRDA since 2007, Mr. Neeley trains Tinker AFB units to safely and expeditiously prepare unit assets for contingency missions.  In addition to working with cargo increments, Mr. Neeley also assists military members transitioning through the air passenger while departing for and returning from deployments.

Mr. Neeley finds his daily responsibilities very fulfilling, but also finds being an ITEC for his squadron very challenging and enjoyable. One big challenge he had to overcome was keeping track of assets located in several buildings.

Mr. Neeley created a Microsoft Power Point tool to map the location of each asset in a blueprint-type format, using shapes to represent each piece of equipment with corresponding serial numbers. He can now easily locate assets by clicking the find button and entering the serial number for the desired asset.

Mr. Neeley says the ability to deliver immediate assistance to LRS personnel and prevent work stoppages is one of the positive aspects of being an ITEC.  He finds co-workers always appreciate a friendly, courteous attitude and timely assistance.

The 72nd ABW/SC salutes Mr. Neeley for his creativity, diligence and hard work fulfilling his ITEC responsibilities and his commitment in support of our warfighters.
